Together towards success
Cooperation with the Bavarian Football Association (BFV)
The Bavarian Football Association (BFV) has been involved in Mozambique since 2005. With the aid funds available, many different projects have already been carried out together with the Mozambican Football Association in order to better support the athletic, educational and vocational training of young people.
For example, in the capital Maputo, the Bavarian Football Association financed a football pitch in the Albazine district to promote youth football and also to develop the district's social and physical infrastructure. This also includes support for the sports centre in Namaacha, which operates on the principle of a football boarding school. You can find more about the project at the BFV Social Foundation Social project Mozambique - BFV Social Foundation
Football pitch inaugurated
Dr. Rainer Koch on a visit
During his visit to Mozambique in 2019, BFV President Dr. Rainer Koch personally inaugurated the new football pitch.
“In keeping with our social and socio-political mission, our goal is to support one of the poorest countries in the world with financial and material assistance in building up basic structures. Our primary concern is the many children and young people in Mozambique who live in very poor conditions, with very poor hygiene, nutrition and housing, who have hardly any educational opportunities and have to play football barefoot. For them, with your help, we want to initiate further projects in Mozambique.”
Dr. Rainer Koch, BFV President
