Since 2005, the BFV (Bavarian Football Association) has been supporting the Mozambican Football Association (FMF) and has initiated, developed and accompanied various social projects as part of this cooperation. Over the years, for example, a football pitch with a small office, changing room and storage building was created in Albazine, a poor neighbourhood of the capital Maputo, in collaboration with the football club "Associacao Desportiva de Albazine" (ADA). It is used not only for traditional football but also regularly for events with a social character.

Sometimes the focus is on health prevention, sometimes on educational opportunities or simply awareness-raising work. The interest in sport, and football in particular, is used here to provide extremely important support especially for the young residents of Albazine.
