Town partnership comes to life
The mayors of the two cities Aalen and Vilankulo are in close dialogue, among other things on the topics of urban planning, tourism, waste management and climate protection.
In September 2022, the mayor of Vilankulo, William Tunzine, and the coordinator for the city friendship of the city of Vilankulo were guests in Aalen, accompanied by Sarah Kreidewolf (Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit), who looks after the joint projects within the framework of the city friendship on the ground in Vilankulo.
Thanks to the contacts with the town of Aalen, a connection to the KfW could be established. In early October 2022, four KfW staff members were in Vilankulo and indicated the prospect of financial support in the areas of environmental protection, water supply and road construction. Further talks took place in January 2023.
William Tunzine, mayor of Vilankulo, came to visit Aalen in September 2022.
